TATSUKI
TSUJII

書道家 CALLIGRAPHER

Born in Hokkaido in 1977, he grew up as the eldest son of calligrapher Kyoun Tsujii, surrounded by calligraphy works and tools. From the age of four until adulthood, he was trained to cultivate the discerning eye to appreciate and evaluate calligraphy. At university, he majored in architecture, guided by his father’s words that “the composition of space is connected to calligraphy,” which nurtured his multifaceted sensibility.

After graduation, he pursued a career in business, working at a steel manufacturer, the Boston Consulting Group, and a venture company. During this time, he discovered the potential of connecting the traditional art of calligraphy with business mindfulness. In his thirties, he formally apprenticed under his father and renewed his commitment to the path of calligraphy.

He has since established a calligraphy promotion company dedicated to sharing the spirit and artistry of Japanese calligraphy with the world, through exhibition planning and international outreach. While preserving tradition, he seeks to create works that resonate with people who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly—whether in business, sports, or the arts. Since 2023, he has also intensified his career as an artist. His style is distinguished by powerful, weighty strokes that embody both serenity and softness.
