陶芸作家 CERAMIC ARTIST

After graduating from the Department of Graphic Design at Tokyo Zokei University, she studied as a research student in the ceramics program at Tama Art University. She then spent time in France, Italy, and South Korea, where she further pursued ceramics. Upon returning to Japan, she began her career as a ceramic artist, holding solo exhibitions at galleries in Tokyo and Kyoto while also creating works at the Shiga Prefectural Ceramic Cultural Park. She is the third daughter of the contemporary artist Lee Ufan.

As an artist, she aspires to create vessels that are “a natural part of daily life, quietly beautiful,” and that, when brought out for special occasions, “evoke joy in use and spark a richness of imagination.” Since she first began working with clay, she has continued to reflect on the gap between this ideal and reality, while valuing the simple truth that each act of making is indeed connected to the future. With this in mind, she devotes herself to her work each day.
